Facilitation

Drawing on modern thinking about education and leisure, our workshops are characterised by hands-on exploration, play and a wide range of themes and venues.

The Petits Débrouillards universe: AMPD promotes scientific, technical and environmental culture. We give young people the chance to discover science through playful, interactive activities. Sparking and satisfying curiosity is our goal.

Our workshops feature scientific exploration, a playful approach, thematic diversity and a variety of venues.

Activities are designed for a wide age range (4–14, and sometimes secondary students). They serve local and national associations, parent groups, leisure professionals and CSR programmes.

Training

Based on an innovative, active approach, Petits Débrouillards training programmes help educators grow their science facilitation skills.

Our training helps participants:

Beneficiaries: facilitators (mostly university students), association leaders and teachers.

Several levels: from an introductory taste of science facilitation to specialised kits (environment, climate change, living together, astronomy, sustainable mobility, and more).

Innovation

Convinced we must help create innovative teaching tools and materials, the Petits Débrouillards design digital apps, exhibitions, games and kits.

We work on:

Tools include digital quizzes, board and role-playing games, poster exhibitions, interactive modulo-theques and pedagogical kits.

Showcasing

Presenting Petits Débrouillards projects in a festive, welcoming setting is central to who we are — festivals, exhibitions and Expo-Science.

Goal: bring science and technology out of a purely academic frame.

Key actions

  • Explorers Festival: annual festival around a scientific, technical or environmental theme. Open to AMPD members, schools and partners. Venues include Villas des Arts in Rabat and Casablanca. Content: workshops, exhibitions, games, theatre and café-debates.
  • Science exhibitions nationwide. AMPD also takes part in the international Expo-Science (MILSET), held every two years.

Exchanges & volunteering

Youth exchanges and meetings are key moments in our association — sharing, solidarity and intercultural learning.

Seminars: training, practice exchange and collective reflection with national and international partners

Café-debates: light thematic workshops with speakers and a facilitator

International volunteering: AMPD is EU-accredited for European Voluntary Service. We host and send 1–2 young people per year (ages 18–30, up to 12 months).

Intercultural stays with international partners each summer (Morocco, France, Germany), ages 10–17.

Key actions

  • Youth stays (Morocco and abroad): sharing, solidarity and mutual exchange
  • Spaces for debate among children, teens and young adults (science and citizenship)
